Barton Acres Solar Array

Description: The Barton Acres Solar Array was installed on a previously wooded site. Over the course of a year, the Barton Acres Solar Array is estimated to offset approximately 1,500 tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

To put that in perspective, 1,500 tons of CO2 is equivalent to the emissions created from:

  • consuming 153,000 gallons of gasoline,
  • burning 1.49 million pounds of coal; or,
  • driving 3.4 million miles in an average passenger vehicle.
