A ground-up development, The Kiln brings 111 thoughtfully designed studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms to Worcester.
Inspired by History, Modern by Design
The Kiln is a modern multifamily residential apartment community in the Greendale neighborhood of Worcester. It comprises a four-story building with 111 market-rate studio, one-, and two-bedroom units designed with contemporary finishes and thoughtful layouts. The development was completed recently in 2023 and blends modern industrial architectural elements with the residential character of the surrounding area.
Amenities for residents include features such as a fitness center, bike storage, coworking spaces, outdoor grills and fire pit areas, a dog park, covered and outdoor parking, and smart entry systems. Individual apartments offer stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, balconies on all units, and in-unit washer/dryer setups.
A notable aspect of The Kiln’s development is its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. The project includes rooftop solar panels designed to supply up to 50 % of the building’s energy needs, reducing reliance on traditional power sources and lowering operational energy use. The community also offers electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to support cleaner transportation options for residents.
By integrating solar generation, EV readiness, and contemporary, efficient systems, The Kiln aims to provide comfortable, sustainable urban living in Worcester.

The Reeds
17 Hermon Street, Worcester MA 01610
Historic 1865 factory transformed into a 36-unit boutique residential community blending character with modern amenities.
Inspired by History, Modern by Design
The Reeds, located at 17 Hermon Street in Worcester, is a thoughtfully executed historic renovation of one of the city’s oldest surviving industrial buildings. Originally constructed in 1865 as the Taylor and Farley Organ Company, the former factory has been carefully preserved and adapted into a boutique residential community that blends historic character—such as exposed brick, heavy timber beams, and original architectural details—with modern apartment finishes and amenities such as in-unit laundry, stainless-steel appliances, co-working spaces, fitness facilities, game rooms and multiple tenant lounges.
The building contains 36 residential units, including five designated affordable apartments, supporting mixed-income housing while maintaining the integrity and character of this landmark structure. Construction was completed in December 2025, and the property is currently in lease-up, welcoming its first residents.
The Reeds represents a successful example of adaptive reuse, contributing to neighborhood revitalization while preserving Worcester’s industrial heritage.

Inspired by History, Modern by Design
GoVenture Capital Group, LLC is planning a large-scale mixed-use development at 525 Hartford Turnpike, a ~23-acre site in Shrewsbury that currently contains buildings that were once home to the Tanela Restaurant and The White Star Motel.
The project proposes two five-story residential apartment buildings totaling approximately 250 units, alongside a ~12,000 square-foot commercial building at the frontage along Hartford Turnpike. The design includes associated parking, sidewalks, stormwater infrastructure, utilities, landscaping, and a wetland crossing to support the new construction.
The proposal has been structured to conform with Shrewsbury’s zoning requirements, and site plan review and special permit applications have been submitted to the Town as part of the approval process. Construction is anticipated to begin at the end of 2026.

Inspired by History, Modern by Design
The Benjamin, located at 274 Franklin Street in Worcester, is a major new residential development positioned near Union Station, offering convenient access to regional transit and the city’s growing downtown amenities. The project consists of a five-story apartment community totaling 364 residential units, designed to support Worcester’s ongoing urban revitalization. As part of its partnership with the City, 36 units are designated as affordable housing for households earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), reinforcing the project’s mixed-income character.
Before the site at 274 Franklin Street in Worcester was cleared for development, it was occupied by a collection of older industrial buildings and vacant warehouse structures that had become largely underused and blighted over time.
The development places a strong emphasis on resident experience, incorporating more than 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space. Planned amenities include co-working areas, a fitness center, rooftop and courtyard spaces, social lounges, pet spas, and landscaped outdoor areas with seating and griling spaces. The project’s proximity to Union Station makes it a transit-oriented community well-suited for commuters and residents seeking walkable urban living.
The Benjamin is being developed through a partnership between GoVenture Capital Group and The Michaels Organization, a nationally recognized multifamily developer, investor, and operator headquartered in New Jersey. Michaels brings extensive experience in large-scale residential development, affordable housing integration, and long-term property management. Together, the partnership between GoVenture and The Michaels Organization combines local insight with national development capacity, delivering a transformative housing project that expands Worcester’s residential offerings while supporting affordability and downtown growth.
Construction for The Benjamin officially broke ground in May 2025, with an anticipated development timeline of approximately two years, positioning the project for completion in 2027.
