Description: North Brookfield sits in the agricultural and forested interior of Worcester County, and the JH site reflected that — a wooded parcel that required clearing before any panels could go in. The 1.3-megawatt installation generates 1.7 million kilowatt-hours per year, offsetting an estimated 1,400 tons of CO2. In practical terms, that’s approximately 143,000 gallons of gasoline worth of emissions removed from the equation annually.
