Hawthorne Hills Solar Array

Description: Hawthorne Hills is not a typical solar installation. Spread across 14 separate rooftop arrays on individual residential buildings in an elderly housing community, this project required engineering solutions that most commercial arrays never encounter. Medical device compatibility, first responder access protocols, restricted construction zones around vulnerable residents, and aesthetic requirements all shaped the final design. The result is a 161-kilowatt system that generates over 200,000 kilowatt-hours annually without compromising the safety, security, or character of the community it serves.
